from the Federal Government of more than X23,000,000.00 to start a ~~
duplicating transmission lines in this Southwestern territory. The ~,
total power system to be built will cost nearly a Quarter billion ICI
Dollars. The purpose of the system is to distribute the power from
the Norfolk and Jenisen Jams, and any ether hydro-electric projects
to be built in this territory, and the proposal includes the con-
struction of several hundred thousand kilowatts of steam power to
be built in connection with the proposed hydro dams, and
'~"iHEREAS, the gouthvrestern Fovaer Administration will be controlled
from tivashington, and the L'epartment of the Interior v:ill become the

the affairs of the state and municipal governments; that v:e are opposed to the
Federal Government going further into the power business. ~~
Be It further resolved, that it is the judgment of this Council
that further centralization in ~'.ashin;ton s}:ould be discontinued; that
our citizens should be relieved of much of the regulation that was
necessary because of the war, and that all of the war bureaus which
serve ro useful purpose other than add to our nationsl debt should be
abolished.
