MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS,
HELD AT THE CITY HALL IN SAID CITY ON THE 15TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1962, AT 3:05 P.M.
The City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, met in a regular session
in the City of West Memphis at 3:05 P.M. on the 15th day of November, 1962. The meeting
was called to order by the Maycr. The following were present: Aldermen: Kirby Leggett,
C. H. Rowton, Y. G. Sims, 0. I. Bollinger, R. C. Bowie, R. E. Eden, and Earl Felts; and
City Attorney W. H. Dillahunty.
Absent: Alderman: Paul Matthews.
It being determined a quorum was present, the following proceedings were had to-wit:
Minutes of Council Meetings on November 1, 1962, were approved as read.
An ordinance entitled "An Ordinance To Rezone Certain Zoned Property In Compress
Subdivision From RS-7 To C-4, To Place Said Rezoned Property In The Restricted Fire Zone
And For Other Purposes" was read the second time. Motion was made by Alderman Felts,
seconded by Alderman Rowton: That the second reading of the ordinance be approved.
Upon vote, the voting was as follows:
Yes: Aldermen: Leggett, Rowton, Sims, Bollinger, Bowie, Eden, and Felts.
No: None.
Mayor Price informed the Council officials of the Burch Plow Worl:s, Inc, are to
be in West Memphis on Wednesday, November 21, 1962, and discussions will be held on the
bond election, thereupon the meeting was adjourned subject to call for any business that
might come before the Council.
