2745 ORDINANCE NO. " 5 •
AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO
PURCHASE SERVICES FROM CHYMAIAH BOWE D/B/A CZ BAKES,AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,A.C.A. § 14-42-107 states that in order for Members of the City Council or
any elected official to conduct business with the City,that it is necessary that an Ordinance be
passed by the Governing Body,specifically,permitting Members of the City Council or.any
elected official to conduct business with the City and prescribing the extent of such authority;
and
WHEREAS,the City of West Memphis may desire to utilize the services of Chymaiah
Bowe doing business as CZ Bakes to provide catering services for the City of West Memphis;
and
WHEREAS,Chymaiah Bowe is related to the current Community Outreach Director
and, as such,the Community Outreach Director has a"direct or indirect"interest in the profits of
such hiring,thereby requiring prior approval of such hiring by the City Council of the City of
West Memphis;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,THAT:
SECTION 1. That authorization be given for the City of West Memphis,Arkansas,to be
furnished services by Chymaiah Bowe doing business as CZ es. .
