AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 52 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING IN
THE NW 1/4 OF SECTION 9, AND THE NE 1/4 OF SECTION 8,
TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 9 EAST, CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
CRITTENDEN COUNTY, ARKANSAS TO C-2, OPEN DISPLAY
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning
Commission to rezone the hereinafter described property, and
after notice having been published for the time and in the
manner as provided by Ordinance No. 715, as amended, the
matter was heard by the City Planning Commission, and the
Planning Commission recommended that the application be
approved and the City Council finds that such application
should be granted; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property located
in the City of West Memphis, Crittenden County, Arkansas, to
wit.
A 52-acre tract of land lying in the NW 1/4 of Section 9
' and the NE 1/4 of Section 8, Township 6 North, Range 9
' East, City of West Memphis, Crittenden County, Arkansas,
and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the east line
of the NW 1/4 of said Section 9 with the north right-
of-way line of Interstate Highway 40, thence north
along the east line of the NW 1/4 of said Section 9 a
distance of 511.10 feet, thence west a distance of 3275
feet, more or less, to a point in the centerline of Ten-
Mile Bayou, thence in a southerly direction along the
centerline of Ten-Mile Bayou a distance of 600 feet, more
or less, to a point on the north right-of-way line of
Interstate Highway 40, thence in an easterly
direction along said north right-of-way line a
distance of 3500 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning with a physical address of 3300 North Service
Road.
