The above buildings are in aoor condition inside and outside.
In some of these buildings, the outside appearance is better than the inside.
Foundations and sill are all bad.
Wiring and electrical fixtures are bad, in most cases dangerous. -
Plumbing and plumbing fixtures are bad.
Floors, ceilings and walls are all bad in tt1Y opinion. The deterioration is more than EOM,
and buildings should be demolished.
Any permit for reconditioning of these buildings would require the approval of the Board of
Adjustment.

Re: Charlie J. Beaver
211 West Bond Street
Gentlemen:
I note in last Friday's issue of the I{em-,his Press-Scimitar that the property
located at 211 West Bond is under consideration for demolition.
The West riemphis Federal Savings and Loan Association holds a montage on this
property and we are of the opinion that the property is in a fair state of repair and
if any repairs are necessary that they be made. The present owner, Idr. Beaver, has
discussed this matter with us and he promises to make any repairs that may be necessary;
therefore, we do not think this property should be destroyed.
I£ the matter is seriously considered, we would like to be notified of the hearing
and have an opportunity to be present and be heard with reference to the proposed
destruction of the property.
Yours very truly,
SPEARS & SLOAN
