FiINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF i+)-t5T NEPiPHIS, ARKANSAS,
HELD AT THE CITY HALL IN SAID CITY ON THE 16TH DAY OF JULY 1964, AT 3:00 P.M.

The Council of the City of West F:emphis, in the County of Crittenden, State of Arkansas,
met in regular session at the City Hall in said City at 3:G0 o'clock P.L. on the 16th day of
July, 1964.
The meeting eas called to order by the F:ayor, and the rcll being called, there were:
Fresent: Hob Eden, Mayor in the chair, and the following named Aldermen:
C. H. Rowton
F. C. Weis
0. I. Bollinger
R. C. Bowie
Kirby Leggett
Paul Fiatthews
Y. G. Sims
Absent: Alderman earl Felts and City Attcrney W. H. Dillahunty
It being determined a quorum was present, the following proceedings were had to-wit:
Frinutes of Council Fleeting on July 2, 196x, were approved as read.
F:ayor Eden informed the Council Notices of Date of Hearing on August 6, 196y, at 3:00 P.M.
to Charlie J. Heaver and West Fiemphis Federal Savings & Loan Association for property at
211 Hest Bond Street, West 522 feet of Lot 9, Block 14 of Compress Subdivision; and
Ns. D. D. Hudspeth and First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas for property at: 204 Y1. Bond,
Ez Ez Lot 2, Block 17, Compress Subdivision, 206 W. Bond, WZ Ez Lot 2, Block 17, Compress
Subdivision, 208 W. Bond, &2 W2 Lot 2, Block 17, Compress Subdivision, 207 Y1. Bond, 'rl2 Ez
Lot 9, Block 14, Compress Subdivision had been prepared for service. Thereupon motion was
made by Alderman Leggett: That the idotices as prepared be delivered to the Sheriff's 0£fice
to be served on the groper people. The motion was seconded by Alderman 'rTeis. Upon vote, the
voting was as follows:
Yes: Aldermen: Rowton, 1.7eis, Bollinger, Bowie, Leggett, F?atthews, and Sims
Iday: None.
F,r. Charles Hampton, City Engineer presented a slat of 1st Addition Broadway Fark
Subdivision, West Memphis, Arkansas, being NE of NE4, Section 17, T-6-N, R-9-E. The
Council was informed the Planning Cormnission on F:arch 3, 1964, had approved the Preliminary
Plat subject to changes as outlined, and the changes in Lots 22, 23, 26, and 27 of Block 4
had been made. After discussion, mction was made by Aldermman Rowton: That the plat of 1st
Addition of Broadway Park Subdivision be approved as presented. The motion was seconded by
Alderman Sims. Upon vote, the •roting was as follows:
Yes: P.ldermen: Rowton, Weis, Bollinger, Bcwie, Leggett, F'atthews, and Sims
Nay: None.
Presentation of the 1963 Audit by Fs. Harry F. Dodge was postponed until the August 6th
meeting for further study by the Council.
No further business being presented, motion was made by Elderran I•;atthews and seconded
by Alderman Bollinger to adjourn. Upon vote, the voting was as follows:
Yes: Aldermen: Rowton, 4Teis, Bollinger, Bowie, Leggett, Latthews, and Sims
Nay: None.
