1741ORDINANCE NO. 17 y
AN ORDINANCE WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR EQUIPMENT TO
UPGRADE THE SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA CONTROL SYSTEM FOR
THE UTILITY DEPARTMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated Section 14-58-303 allows
waiving of competitive bidding in exceptional situations where such
' " procedure is deemed not feasible or practical; and
WHEREAS, there are M items necessary for the City's use
where competitive bidding is deemed not feasible or practical; and

WHEREAS, the West Memphis Utilities isn need of purchasing
equipment to upgrade the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
System, and competitive bidding under such circumstances would not
be feasible or practical;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That competitive bidding be waived for the following items
to be used by the City, described as follows:
Three Kearney Switch Station(DMT 1269) with QEI Model 6ACP RTU
and three Kearney FCI (333-7 RFCI) with Receiver. Total price
being $25,706.40.
