MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS, HAD AND HELD ON JULY 9, 1953.

The Council of the City of West Memphis met in an ad3ourned session at the
Wonder City Cie ~ said City at 7:30 P.M, on the 9th day of July, 1953.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor. and upon roll call there were:
Presents Mayor W. B. Fordyce presiding and the following Aldermen:
James Bledsoe, 0. I. Bollinger, John Burrow, Curtis Foster,
A. R. Manchester, P, B. Powers, and C. H. Rowton; City
Attorney Atlee Harris and City Clerk W. R. Seaton.
Absent: Alderman Freeman Finley,
It being determined a quorum was present, the following proceedings were
had to-wit:
The Council met in a point session with the Planning Commission for an
address by Mr. W. S. Bonner of the University of Arkansas on City Planning.
Mayyor Fordyce advised the Council that the contract submitted by
Royal Gardena Subdivision was being considered, and requested that the meeting
be ad3ourned until a later date so that action might be taken on the matter.
Thereupon, motion was made by Alderman Bledsoe and seconded by Alderman
Rowton: That the meeting be ad3ourned until 8:00 P,M. Tuesday, July llj, 1953.
Upon vot®, the Aldermen voted:
Aye: Bledsoe, Bollinger, Burrow, Foster, Manchester, Powers, and Rowton.
Nay: None,
