The City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, met in regular
session in the City of West Memphis at 3:00 o'clock, P. M., an the 16th day
of February, 1961. The following were present: Mayor Howell B. 'rice,
Aldermen: Earl Felts, L. E. Roleson, C. H. Rowton, Y. G. Sims, R. C. Bowie,
and R. E. Eden; and City Attorney W. H. Dillahunty.
Absent: Aldermen J. L. Lackey and O. I. Bollinger.
It being determined a gporum was present, the following proceedings
were had to-wit:
Mayor Price informed the Council the Arkansas Highway Department had
commenced work on permanent traffic channelization at the intersection of
Highways 61 and 70.
The Mayor announced he had no further business to present, and requested
the Councilmen to present any matters they might have for discussion. Members
of the Press submitted several matters for comments by the members of the
Council,
There being no further business, motion was made by Alderman Roleson,
seconded by Alderman Rowton to adjourn. Upon vote, the voting was as follows:
Aye: Aldermen: Felts, Roleson, Rowton, Sims, Bowie, and Eden.
Nay: None.
