A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SELL
THE BUILDING LOCATED AT 2422 EAST BROADWAY AVENUE, A
PORTION OF LOT 9, TO FIFTEENTH STREET CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST
FOR ONE DOLLAR ($1.00), AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis owns the property located at 2422 East
Broadway Avenue, a portion of lot 9, West Memphis, AR; and
WHEREAS, the Fifteenth Street Church of God in Christ has expressed an interest in
acquiring this property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sell the building
located at 2422 East Broadway Avenue, a portion of lot 9, to the Fifteenth Street Church of God
in Christ for One Dollar ($1.00).
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.

First let me thank you and the city council for allowing our church the use of the old
library for our out reach ministries. We have endeavored to provide quality programs for
our young people who are at risk and give our community a viable opportunity to show it
self that we can live and work together.
It is with our deep appreciation and thanks that we now ask you and the city council to
sell us this property for the sum of one dollar ($1.00). We promise to completely
refurbish the building in order to further serve the community especially the east end.
Our services and programs offered will be for the entire community. It is our prayer and
hope that as a result of Operation P.U.L.L. Inc. that crime and violence in our area will
decline. Also we plan to attack teenage pregnancy and truancy in a positive matter.
If we are granted the privilege to obtain possession of this property, please consider this:
we promise to never sell said property and to use it for the betterment of our community.
