A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO MAKE AND SIGN THIS
PRE-APPLICATION TO DELTA REGIONAL AUTHORITY, AND THE
AUTHORITY TO SIGN DRA GRANT DOCUMENTS TO BIND THIS ENTITY
WHEREAS, the Delta Regional Authority was established in 2000 to enhance
economic development and improve the quality of life for the hard-working residents of
this region.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis understands that the
Delta Regional Authority (DRA) has made available to its Members of Congress, the
Region's 45 local development districts and the general public its pre-application
package for the DRA 2009 Federal Grant Program.
WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant pre-application is for a Kitchen Incubator
Facility in West Memphis, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, the amount of the grant will be $500,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT, The City Council of the
City of West Memphis pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Mayor of the
City of West Memphis to make and sign apre-application to Delta Regional Authority.
