AN ORDINANCE ATTACHING AND INCORPORATING CERTAIN
DESCRIBED ANNEXED TERRITORY TO WARD THREE OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, A.C.A. ~ 14-40-203 requires that when any territory shall have been
annexed to any incorporated town or city, it may be, and it is the duty of the town or city
council of the incorporated town or city to attach and incorporate the annexed territory to and
in one (1) or more wards of the incorporated town or city lying adjacent thereto; and
WHEREAS, the following described territory has been annexed to the City of West
Memphis and is adjacent to Ward Three of the City of West Memphis:
87.99 acres lying in the N'/z of Section 1, lying north and east of Interstate
Highway 40 and 55 right-of--way and west of the centerline of Burlington-
Northern Railroad Spur, T-6-N, R-B-E, Crittenden County, Arkansas and
being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast corner of said Section 1, thence N89°32'56"W
along the north line of Section 1 a distance of 523.41 feet to a point in the
centerline of the Burlington-Northern Railroad Spur and on the existing city
limits, said point being the point-of-beginning; thence S I 1 ° 13'01 "E along the
centerline of said railroad a distance of 2384.31 feet to a point on the north
right-of--way line of Interstate 40 and 55, thence N68 °4T 15 "W along said right-
of-way line a distance of 1556.42 feet to a point, thence N62°00'39"W along
saidright-of--way line a distance of 355.62 feet to a point, thence along a curve
that breaks to the right with a radius of 1811.86 feet an arc length of 1136.48
feet, thence N 16 ° 41'3 8"W along the east right-of--way line of Interstate
Highway 55 a distance of 715.59 feet to a point on the north line of said
Section I and the centerline of Afco Road a distance of 1359.21 feet to a point,
thence N89°32'56"E along the north line of said Section 1 and the centerline
of Afco Road a distance of 783.39 feet to the point-of-beginning, containing
87.99 acres more or less.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. '~fhe above described territory is hereby attaached and incorporated to

SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
