A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT WITH
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS AND APPALACHIAN CENTER FOR
ECONOMIC NETWORKS FOR KITCHEN INCUBATOR PROJECT
CONSULTANT
WHEREAS, the Appalachian Center for Economic Networks (ACEnet) is a
community-based economic development organization serving the 29 counties of
Appalachia Ohio. ACEnet works with micro-entrepreneurs in a number of product and
service sectors.
WHEREAS, ACEnet's scope of work would focus on five primary goals to
develop a kitchen incubator facility of the City of West Memphis. The goals and activity
objectives for the scope of work include: Incubation Research, Identify Stakeholders
Network, Identification of Incubator Tenants and Tenant Operations, Incubator Site
Selection, and Facility Licensing and Management.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis understands that
pursuant to the Request for Qualifications and after review of the received Qualifications,
we authorized the Mayor of the City of West Memphis to sign the contract with ACEnet
and the City of West Memphis.
WHEREAS, the amount of the proposed budget should not exceed $36,150.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT, The contract between the
City of West Memphis and ACEnet is herby approved and hereby authorizes the Mayor
of the City of West Memphis to sign the ACEnet Project Consultant Contract.
