AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 1258 REGARDING ZONING
REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, has
prepared amendments to Ordinance 1258, which adopted caning regulations and an official

zoning map for the City of West Memphis, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, not fewer than three (3) copies of said amendments to Ordinance 1258
have been on file in the office of the City Clerk in the West Memphis City Hall and will
continue to be on file at all times for public inspection and review; and
WHEREAS, after a public hearing upon due notice and publication, pursuant to
Article IX, Section 5, 6 and 7 of the zoning regulations adopted by Ordinance 1258, the
Planning Commission has approved and recommended for adoption the proposed amendments
of the zoning regulations adopted by Ordinance 1258;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SF.C'TION 1. Article III, Section 2 (B)(1) of the zoning regulations adopted by
ordinance 1258, as amended, is hereby amended, to include the following:
COMMERCIAL USES ~ ~ ~
Truck Stop and Travel Center,
or Truck Parking SP
SECTION 2. Article III, Section 3 (B)(1)(b) of the zoning regulations adopted by
ordinance 1258 as amended, is hereby amended, to include the following:

SECTION 3. Article X, Section 2 of the zoning regulations adopted by ordinance 1258,
as amended, is hereby amended to add the following definition:
Tn,~k 4top/'Travel Center: A business commonly found in conjunction with a high volume
of large truck traffic and/or equipped with truck parking facilities.
SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
