We will 3~e happy to serve as depository far this checking account provided the city can see fit to keep a minimum balance of $50,000.00 in the account. We feel that this balance gill be necessary to compensate us for the high activity in the account. We would also be pleased to pay interest on surplus funds placed in a daily interest statement savings account. We would pay the maximum allowed on this type of account which is 5~ interest. We would not be in a position to handle telephone transfers into and out of either the savings or checking account. Withdrawals for either account would have to be signed by the City Treasurer. My suggestion would be for the City Treasurer to anticipate his needs on perhaps a weekly basis and make these transfers once a week in order to eliminate his coming to the bank every day to withdraw and transfer monies.
