AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL PERMITTED USE, FOR ONE YEAR, TO
ALLOW A U -HAUL PARKING FACILITY, FOR MR. DON ROUTT, AT 110 SOUTH
WOODS STREET, WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Application was made to the City Planning Commission of West Memphis,
Arkansas to allow a Special Permitted Use of the hereinafter described lands for the use of a
U -Haul Parking Facility per Zoning Ordinance No. 1258, as amended; and
WHEREAS, Notice of said hearing has been published for the time and in the manner as
provided by Ordinance No. 1258, the matter was heard by the City Planning Commission on
December 10, 1997, and upon the matter being heard by the City Planning Commission and due
consideration given thereof the City Planning Commission recommended that said application be
granted provided the following stipulations were agreed upon by the applicant, to wit:
1. Maximum number of vehicles allowed: 10 trucks and 10 trailers;
2. No maintenance of vehicles at this location;
3. Adequate security lighting;
4. Maximum time limit for Special Use Permit, one (1) year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the following described property, to wit: 110 South Woods Street,
Lot 2, Horsley Addition, West Memphis, Arkansas be granted a Special Permitted Use allowing
and permitting the use of the aforedescribed property for the use of a U -Haul Parking Facility,
allowed thereon in a C-l, General Commercial District.
SECTION 11: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
