AN ORDINANCE TO ZONE 1,669.13 ACRES OF LAND LYING IN
SECTIONS 23, 26, 27, 35 AND 36, T-6-N, R-8-E, AND IN SECTION 2, T-S-N,
R-8-E, CRITTENDEN COUNTY, ARKANSAS, AS I-2 GENERAL
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission to zone the
hereinafter described property, and after notice having been published for the time and in the
manner as provided by Act 186 of 1957, Acts of Arkansas, as amended, and by West Memphis
Zoning Ordinance No. 1258, the matter was heard by the City Planning Commission, and the
Planning Commission recommended that the application be approved, and the City Council finds
that such application should be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property located in Crittenden County,
Arkansas, and within the extra-temtorial jurisdiction of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, to
wit:
Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad
(Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad); and the East line of said Section 23;
thence South along the East line of said Section 23 a distance of 1225.00 feet to the
point of beginning; said point lying along the existing city limits of the City of
West Memphis; thence continuing South along the East line of said Section 23 to
its intersection with the centerline of the Old Missouri Pacific Railroad
(abandoned); thence Southwestwardly along the centerline of the Old Missouri
Pacific Railroad to its intersection with the North line of said Section 26; thence
N 89 ° 40' O1 " E along the North line of said Section 26 a distance of 1885.75 feet
to the Northeast corner of said Section 26; thence S 0° 23' 24" E along the East
line of said Section 26 a distance of 5260.26 feet to the Southeast corner of said

of 10 Mile Bayou; thence meandering along the South and East right-of--way of
said 10 Mile Bayou to a point on the North line of said Section 27; thence east
along the North line of said Section 27 to the Northeast corner of said Section 27;
thence North along the West line of said Section 23 to a point on the existing city
limits of the City of West Memphis; thence North 76° 26' 00" E along the existing
city limits of the City of West Memphis to the point of beginning, containing
1669.13 acres, more or less.

SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
