AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL PERMITTED USE TO ALLOW A MINI
STORAGE RENTAL FACILITY AT 41 70 EAST BROADWAY, WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Application was made to the City Planning Commission of West Memphis,
Arkansas to allow a Special Permitted Use of the hereinafter described lands for the use of a Mini-
Storage Rental Facility per Zoning Ordinance No. 1258, as amended; and
WHEREAS, Notice of said hearing has been published for the time and in the manner as
provided by Ordinance No. 1258, as amended, the matter was heard by the City Planning
Commission on January 28, 1998, and upon the matter being heard by the City Planning
Commission recommended that said application be granted provided the following stipulations
were agreed upon by the applicant, to wit:
Ornamental fencing along Broadway and siteproof fencing to separate the Residential Mobile
Home area;
2. All lighting to be directed away from the street, residential areas, and businesses;
3. Landscaping to enhance the area/facility;
4. Ingress/egress to be approved by the City Engineer and State Highway Department;
5. Traffic flow pattern to be presented and approved before permit approval;
6. Hardsurfacing for all the area being used for driveways and parking;
7. No outside storage;
8. RV, travel trailer and boat storage subject to Design Review Commission approval;
9. Site plan subject to Design Review Commission approval;
10. Subject to Zoning, Building and Subdivision requirements.
SECTION 1: That the following described property, to wit; 4170 East Broadway, Replat
of Lot 2, of all North of St Francis Levee Right-of--Way in the East half, of the Northeast
quarter of Section 16, Township 6 North, Range 9 East, Crittenden County, Arkansas to add
utility easements and building lines, being more particularly described as follows; All of Lot 2 of
all North of St Francis Levee Right-of--Way in the East half, of the Northeast quarter of Section
16, Township 6 North, Range 9 East, Crittenden County, Arkansas, as recorded in Book 1, Page
196, in the office of Circuit Court Clerk of Crittenden County, Arkansas, containing 2.27 acres
more or less, be granted a Special Permitted Use allowing and permitting the use of the
aforedescribed property for the use of aMini-Storage Rental Facility allowed thereon in a C-2
Open Display Commercial District.
SECTION 11: That all Ordinances in conflict herein are hereby repealed.
