A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL OF LIENS FOR
GRASS CUTTING SERVICES PERFORMED BY THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. l 881 adopted by the West Memphis City Council
certified charges to be placed as a lien against certain property within the City of West
Memphis, including that property located at 306 S.19 Street, in West Memphis for grass
cutting pursuant to Ordinance 1385; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 1881 certified charges of $86.00 to be placed as a
lien against the property owned by David L. Bolton, 306 S.19 Street, in West
Memphis for grass cutting; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Code Enforcement Office that the
lien of $86.00 placed against the property located at 306 S.19 Street, in West Memphis by
Resolution No. 1881 be removed due to the property being sold before the said lien was
recorded by the Crittenden County Tax Collector's Office;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTIONI: The lien imposed by Resolution No. 1881 pursuant to the authority
of Ordinance 1385 against the property presently owned by David L. Bolton,
306 S. 19 Street, in West Memphis, Arkansas, is hereby authorized to be removed.
SECTION 2: The Code Enforcement Office is directed to forward a copy of this
Ordinance to the Crittenden County Tax Collector's Office and to the property owner.

A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE AMOUNTS OF
LIENS IMPOSED ON CERTAIN PROPERTIES FOR
GRASS CUTTING CONTRACTED BY THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE 1385
AND FOR THE REMOVAL OF CONSTRUCTION
MATERIALS PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE 1b97.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1385, passed by the City Council of the City of West
Memphis, Arkansas, on the 20~' day of December 1990, and Ordinance No. 1697, passed
~:~,F by the City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, the 20~' day of July, 1995
provided that the City Council may impose a lien: and
WHEREAS, the amount of the lien herein provided may be determined at a
hearing before the City Council held after thirty (30) days written notice by certified mail
to the owner or owners of the property, if the name and whereabouts of the owners be
known, and if the name of the owner or owners cannot be determined, then after
publication of notice of such hearing in a newspaper having bona fide circulation in
Crittenden County for one {1) insertion per week for four {4) consecutive weeks: the
amount so determined at said hearing plus ten percentum {10%) penalty for collection,
_ shall be certified by the City Council to the Crittenden County Tax Collector, and by him
' placed on the tax books as delinquent taxes, and collected accordingly, and the amount,
' less three percentum (3%) thereof, when so collected shall be paid to the City of West
Memphis, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, upon due notice a hearing was held before the City Council on
January 17, 2008 for the purpose of determining the amount of liens to be imposed on the
Herein described property.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS that the following described properties
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference shall have a
lien imposed for grass cutting services and removal of construction materials performed by
the City of West Memphis pursuant to Ordinance 1385 and Ordinance 1697.
The Planning and Development Department is hereby directed to forward a copy of this
Resolution to the Crittenden County Tax Collector for collection.
