AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 6 OF ORDINANCE 2130
REGARDING MONTHLY RATES FOR PRIVATE LIGHT ELECTRIC
SERVICE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the monthly rates for private light electric service have been established by
Section 6 of Ordinance 2130 of the City of West Memphis, codified as Section 14.10.060 of the
West Memphis Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Utility Commission has recommended that Section 6 of
Ordinance 2130 be amended to revise certain monthly rates and to establish monthly rates for
additional electric lights;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 6 of Ordinance 2130, codified as Section 14.10.060 of the West
Memphis Municipal Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:
A. The monthly rates for private electric service shall be as follows:
175 watt mercury vapor light $ 5.00
400 watt mercury vapor light $ 7.55
400 watt mercury vapor unidirectional light $ 15.60
1,000 watt mercury vapor unidirectional light $ 23.15
100 watt high pressure sodium light $ 5.00
150 watt high pressure sodium light $ 8.60
250 watt high pressure sodium light $ 15.00
400 watt high pressure sodium light $ 23.00
1,000 watt metal halide light $ 40.00
B. If the private light cannot be located on an existing pole, an additional one dollar and

sixty cents ($1.60) per month will be charged for the installation and maintenance of the pole.
The minimum length of service shall be one year.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
