AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE THE SOUTH 91 FEET OF LOT 1, OF THE
REPEAT OF LOT 3, SOUTHWIDE SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS TO I-1, GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT,
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning
1 Commission to rezone the hereinafter described property, and

after notice having been published for the time and in the
manner as provided by Ordinance No. 715, the matter was heard
by the City Planning Commission, and the Planning Commission
recommended that the application be approved and the City
Council finds that such application should be granted; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property located
in the city of West Memphis, Crittenden County, Arkansas, to
wit:
The South 91 feet of Lot 1, of the Replat of Lot 3,
Southwide Subdivision to the City of West Memphis as
' shown by plat recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 148, in the
' office of the Circuit Court Clerk & Ex-Officio Recorder
of Crittenden County, Arkansas.
be, and the same is hereby rezoned as I-1, General Industrial
District.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It is found and
determined by the City Council that this ordinance is
necessary for the owner of the property to be able to properly
utilize such property for development and other purposes; and

this ordinance is necessary for the growth and expansion of
the city of West Memphis, and that the passage of this
ordinance is in the interest of the public health, peace,
safety and welfare of the city of West Memphis and the
inhabitants thereof. Therefore, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and bey
in force immediately on its passage and approval. ;,
