AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 620 SOUTH 16 STREET, ALLOWING A HOME
DAYCARE FACILITY IN A R-2, RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Planning Commission, on
May 26, 2010, for a Special Use Permit allowing a home daycare facility, in a R-2,
Residential District, as required by Ordinance No. 1988, as amended.
WHEREAS, after notice had been published for the time and in the manner as
provided by Ordinance No. 1988, as amended, the matter was heard by the City Planning
Commission on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 and the Planning Commission recommended
a Special Use Permit be granted to allow a home daycare facility at 620 S. 16 Street,
located in a R-2, Residential District, with the following criteria:
1. No parking; pick-up; or drop-off on S. 16 Street;
2. Landscape along street to screen the parking.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNSEL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The following described property, to wit:
Address: 620 S. 16 Street
West Memphis, Arkansas
Leval Descriation: Lot 3, Block 139
George T Kendal Subdivision
and the same hereby is granted a Special Use Permit allowing a home daycare facility at
620 S. 16 Street, located in a R-2, Residential District, with the following criteria:
1. No parking; pick-up; or drop-off on S. 16 Street;
2. Landscape along street to screen the parking.
SECTION 11: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
