WHEREAS, an Ordinance is or will be proposed to levy
a one per cent (1%) sales tax on all the receipts from the
sale at retail within the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,
on all items which are subject to taxation under the
Arkansas Gross Receipts Tax Act of 1941, ~~,s said Act has
been heretofore or may be hereinafter amenct.ed; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis
Arkansas, desires to designate how the money received from
the Arkansas Gross Receipts Tax money sha.li be distributed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that the revenue received
from a one per cent (1%) tax on the receipts from the sale
- at retail within the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, on all
items which are subject to taxation under. the Arkansas Gross
Receipts Tax Act of 1941 , as said 1",ct has been heretofore
or may be hereinafter amended shall be distributed as follows:
