RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS TO FILE
A FULL APPLICATION WITH THE ECOMONIC DEVELOP-
MENT ADMINISTRATION, U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COM-
MERCE, FOR A GRANT UNDER THE TERMS OF PUBLIC
LAW 98-8 (EMERGENCY JOBS ACT) AND FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CERTIFY THE CONTENTS
OF THE FULL APPLICATION AND ACCEPT ANY OFFER
OF A GRANT WHICH MAY BE TENERED BY THE ECO-
NOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, desires to under-
take various public facilities improvements under Public Law 98-8
(Emergency Jobs Act); and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, has been invited
to submit a Full Application to the Economic Development Admini-
stration under the terms of Public Law 98-8 based upon information
contained in the Pre-Application as authorized by the City Council
of West Memphis on April 21, 1983 (Resolution No. 932).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That the Mayor of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, is
hereby authorized to file a Full Application with the
Economic Development Administration for a grant under
the terms of Public Law 98-8 (Emergency Jobs Act);
2. That the Mayor is further authorized to certify the

of a grant which may be tendered by the Economic Develop-
' ment Administration;
