WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, regrets
very much to lose the services of LT. NATHAN RIDGLEY, upon
his retirement, after being employed by the West Memphis
Police Department for twenty (20) years. LT. RIDGLEY
started to work for the West Memphis Police Department
on September 1, 1963; and,
WHEREAS, during his period of employment with the
West Memphis Police Department, LT. NATHAN RIDGLEY has
served the City of West Memphis well, in the Law Enforcement
Field, having been promoted to Sergeant on January 1, 1969,
and to Lieutenant on August 1, 1971; and,
WHEREAS, LT. NATHAN RIDGLEY has served under six (6)
Chiefs of Police and four (4) Mayors of the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas; and, has demonstrated an ability
to get along well with all of his superiors; and,
WHEREAS, LT. NATHAN RIDGLEY has always been conscientious
in every endeavor, whether performing a public service to a
citizen such as assisting a motorist or patroling the streets
at night apprehending dangerous criminals;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. LT. NATHAN RIDGLEY be commended for his fine record
and work with the West Memphis Police Department throughout
the last twenty (20) years and that LT. RIDGLEY be wished
success in any future endeavor;
2. A copy of this Resolution be sent to: -
