0951RESOLUTION NO. ~ ~~
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis will in the near future
establish an automated garbage system for the City of West Memphis,
and,
WHEREAS, the installation of the new system will cause the
ne cessary termination of some of the present sanitation employees,
and,
WHEREAS, it is requested that the City of West Memphis give
high priority to the former terminated employees in the Sanitation
Department when new employees are hired for the City of West Memphis
in other capacities, and
WHEREAS, any employees employed by the Sanitation Department
now or in the very near future be instructed that they are only
probationary employees and that their services will be only for a
short time.
THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS that the City of West Memphis give
high priority to former terminated sanitation employees when other
jobs become available in the city.
That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
