RESOLUTION NO. '962
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, supports the study by the Arkansas State Highway
Department on the Service Roads off the Intersta
tes pertaining
to exits from and entrances into the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis
hopes that a solution may be found to lessen the great number
of accidents and deaths on the Service Roads, due to the fact
that the Service Roads are used for two-way traffic routes;
and,
WHEREAS, it is believed that by making these Service
Roads to be one-way traffic routes, that many of the accidents
and deaths could be averted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That the Service Roads off the Interstates which are
two-way traffic routes, carrying traffic from and into the
City of West Memphis, Arkansas, should be made one-way traffic
routes, until a better solution may be found.
