A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, APPROVING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF WEST MEMPHIS PROFESSIONAL SERVICES SELECTION
CRITERIA/PROCUREMENT STANDARDS AND SELECTION COMMITTEE
UNDER THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been designated an "Entitlement
City" under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires
certain standards be met relative to procurement under the CDBG program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That the Professional Services Selection Criteria/Procurement
Standards of the Community Development Agency of West Memphis
are hereby approved.
2. That a Professional Services Selection Committee consisting of
at least seven members including a representative from each of
the following is hereby established: Mayor's Office; City
Council; Community Development Agency of West Memphis; NAACP;
League of Women Voters; and two citizens from the CDBG eligible
area denoted on the attached map.
3. That the Professional Services Selection Committee members shall
be selected by the aforementioned organizations and groups and
shall serve for a three year period to correspond with the
Community Development Block Grant planning period; providing a
member may resign and be replaced by the organization the
resigning member represents.
4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its date of passage.
