RESOLUTION N0.
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Senior High School has
produced over the years many fine athletic teams; and
WHEREAS, in the year, 1984, the West Memphis Blue Devil
Football Team has achieved a record for which all of us are
proud; and,
WHEREAS, the 1984 West Memphis Blue Devil Football Team
won eleven (11) games and lost three (3), were the AAAA East
Conference Champions winning all five (5) Conference Games;
and, were the Runner-ups to the State Champions in Class AAAA;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, wishes to express their appreciation for the record
made by the 1984 West Memphis Blue Devil Football Team; and,
WHEREAS, due recognition should be made to all Members
of the 1984 Blue Devil Football Team, including Coach Grafton
Moore and His Staff;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That the City Council highly commends Coach Grafton Moore,
His Staff, and the West Memphis Blue Devil Football Team for
their tremendous record in the 1984 Season and for the favorable
publicity and recognition given our City; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of
this Resolution be given to Coach GraftgrfMo~e, H~.s
