RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLI-
CATION WITH THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION,
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,
FOR A GRANT UNDER THE TERMS OF PUBLIC LAW 89-136, AS
AMENDED.
WHEREAS, under the terms of Public Law 89-136, as amended, the United
States of America has authorized the making of grants to public bodies and
private nonprofit organizations or associations to aid in financing the
construction of specific projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That Leo Chitman, Mayor, City of West Memphis, is hereby authorized
to execute and file an application on behalf of the City of West
Memphis, Arkansas, with the Economic Development Administration,
U.S. Department of Commerce, for a grant to aid in financing the
construction of the Airport Road, Rainer Road, Riverport Improve-
ments Project.
2. That Leo Chitman, Mayor, City of West Memphis, is hereby authorized
and directed to:furnish such information as the Economic Develop-
ment Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, may reasonably
request in connection with the application which. is herein author-
ized to be filed, and further is authorized to accept any offer of
grant which may be tendered by the Economic Development Administra-
tion, U.S. Department of Commerce.
That this Resolution shall take effect

Memphis, Arkansas, does hereby certify: That the attached Resolution No.

of an application with the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Depart-
ment of Commerce, as regularly adopted at a legally convened meeting of the
City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, duly held on the 17th day
of January, 1985; and further that such resolution has been fully recorded in
the journal of proceedings and records in my office. In Witness Whereof, I
