WHEREAS, the laws enacted by the Arkansas General
Assembly have names of the sponsors written on the bills;
and,
WHEREAS, it is believed that the same practice is
desirable for the West Memphis City Council on Ordinances;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, th~.t:
SECTION 1. Resolution No. 606, dated October 20, 1977,
be amended by adding paragraph Six (6) to read as follows:
(a) All Ordinances are req~fired to be signed by

two (2) West Memphis Aldermen/tas sponsors prior to
being placed on the agenda before Council Meeting.
