RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City of West Memphis, Arkansas, has been deeply saddened
by the sudden death of the Honorable E. C. "Took" Gathings;
and
'WHEREAS, the Honorable E. C. "Took" Gathings has endeared himself to
all of us by helping and assisting the City of West Memphis
in many problems; and
WHEREAS, the Moyor and City Council of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, is very appreicative of the mnay fine and splendid
things accomplished by the Honorable E. C. "Took" Gathings
during his lifetime, which were in the best interest of the
citizens of West Memphis, Arkansas.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1,. That the City of West Memphis wishes to pay tribute to
the Honorable E. C. "Torok" Gathings as an outstanding
citizen who accomplished many fine deeds for the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas, during his lifetime;
2. To continue to praise his recored of service to humanity
which exemplified the paramount virtues of good citizenship
that will long be remembered.
