BE IT RESOLVED:
That the Resolution of the West Memphis Utility
Commission dated the 10th day of May, 1979, with the exception
of Section Five (5) appointing an Underwriter for the bond
issue and Bond-Co-Counsel, which was deleted by Resolution
of the West Memphis Utility Commission on May 23, 1979,
concerning the proposed acquisition by the City of West P7emphis,
Arkansas, of undivided interest in two (2) 1400 MW (net)
coal-fired steam electric generating stations from the
Arkansas Power & Light Company be and it hereby is accepted,
ratified and confirmed by the City Council of the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to the terms
and provisions of the aforesaid Resolution, the West Memphis
Utility Commission shall present to the City Council of
West Memphis, Arkansas, for its consideration, such preliminary
Ordinances, Resolutions, and Financial Data, as necessary to
comply with the offer of Arkansas Power & Light to West Memphis
dated January 30, 1979, and to effectuate the proposed project
set forth in the West Memphis Commission Resolution prior to
July 1, 1979.
