RESOLUTION N0.
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Utility Commission met in
Regular Session on the 13th day of September, 1979, at 1:30 P.M.,
at the Utility Building, 604 E. Cooper, West Memphis, Arkansas;
and,
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Utility Commission recommended
that an undivided interest be acquired in the White Bluff and
Independence Coal Generating Plants now under construction
by the Arkansas Power & Light Company in percentages of
one per cent (1%) or a percentage not to exceed two per cent (2%),
depending upon negotiations with Arkansas Power & Light Co.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The Chairman of the West Memphis Utility Commission
be authorized to proceed with the necessary arrangements for
- the acquisition of an undivided interest of one per cent (1%)
or not to exceed two per cent (2%) in the Independence and
White Bluff Coal Generating Plants now under construction
by AP&L.
