AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE THE NORTH 58.75 FEET, THE
NORTH 50 FEET OF THE SOUTH 100 FEET AND THE NORTH
50 FEET OF THE SOUTH 150 FEET OF LOT 56 OF THE
M.P. HORSLEY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS, AS SHOWN BY PLAT OF RECORD IN PLAT BOOK 1
AT PAGES 4 and 5, ALSO KNOWN AS 201-203 South Fourth
Street, WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, FROM C-1 to I-1, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS an application was made to the City Planning
Commission to rezone the hereinafter described property and
after notice having been published for the time and in the
manner as provided by Ordinance No. 1258 as amended, the matter
was heard by the City Planning Commission and the Planning
Commission recommended, that said application be granted:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property, to wit:
The North 58.75 feet, the North 50 feet of the South 100
feet and the North 50 feet of the South 150 feet of Lot 56
of the M. P. Horsley Addition to the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, as shown by plat of record in Plat Book 1 at
~~ pages 4 and 5.
ADDRESS: 201-203 South Fourth Street, West Memphis, Arkansas
be and the same is hereby rezoned to I-1 Limited Industrial District.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It is found and declared
by the City Council that this property is in the process of
development and that this ordinance is necessary for the

orderly growth and expansion of the City of West Memphis and
for the protection of the safety and welfare of they inhabitants
of the City of West Memphis: therefore, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall by in full force
and effect from this day after its passage and approval.
