RESOLUTION N0. -~
-~ A RESOLUTION TO HIRE AN ARKANSAS LICENSED ENGINEER
FOR THE CITY OF GJEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, there are many activities performed by the
City of West Memphis that require the services of a Licensed
Engineer by the State of Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, there is no Licensed Engineer now in the
employment of the City of West Memphis; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to employ outside Engineers to
perform City Engineering work on a part-time basis; and,
WHEREAS, it is believed the services of a full-time
Licensed Engineer will be a saving to the City as well as
maintaining a greater control over engineering operations of
our City;-.and,
WHEREAS, a full-time Licensed Engineer could supervise
engineering functions over all operations of the City to
include, but not limited to streets, utilities, airport and
construction;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that the City of West Memphis
hire a full-time Licensed Arkansas Engineer, to work for the
City of West Memphis on a full-time basis and perform such
engineering duties as directed by the Mayor and City Council.
