WHEREAS, the City Employees of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, have signed a Petition requesting that no City
Employees be laid off during Fiscal Year 1980 for financial
conditions of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is sympathetic to the request
of the City Employees and v~aishes to comply in every way
possible;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED EY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF 4~EST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that no City Employees
be laid off during fiscal year 1980 for financial conditions
of the City if there is any possible way to retain these
employees.
