WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, has recently
promoted the use of the Crepe Myrtle as a means to beaut~_fy
ou.r City; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Richard P. Brackett, .Innkeeper, Holiday Inn,
West Memphis, has donated fifty (50) Crepe Myrtles to the City
of West Memphis; and,
WHEREAS, one of the many .fine youth organizations of
tr.e City, the SPO Fraternity, did under inclement weather
conditions assist in planting the Crepe Myrtles on the grounds
of the City Hall;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That the City Council of the City of West Memphis wishes
to commend the SPO Fraternity for their assistance in land
p ng
the Crepe Myrtles on the grounds of the West Memphis City Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOL~~ED :
That the City Council of the City of West Memphis is well
aware o.f the many other fine deeds accomplished by the SPO
Fraternity in the City of West Memphis, Arkansas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That a copy of this Resolution be sent to Mr. Rudy Burns,
