LOCAL DISASTER EMERGENCY DECLARATION
WHEREAS, the City Council order dated April 8, 1980
enpowers the City Chief Executive to proclaim the existance
of a local disaster emergency when said city is affected by
major peril to life and property; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Executive of this city does find:

That conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons
and property have arisen within the city caused by a tornado
commencing on or about 11:15 P.M. on the 7th day of April, 1980.
That the aforesaid conditions of extreme peril warrant
and necessitate the proclamation of the existance of a local
disaster emergency;
