RESOLUTION OF CITY OP WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,
had determined that it owned certain real property which was no
longer needed for public use, being property known as the Old City
Shop and being located on the West 125 feet of Lot 2g of M.P.
Horsley's Subdivision to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, advertised for bids
E to sell said property, and at the meeting of the West Memphis City
Council held on June 24, 1930, the bid of X32,050.00 of Charles H.
Williamson was accepted by the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council at the meeting on June 24, 1980,
authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to execute and deliver. to C. H.
Williamson a deed to the above-described property upon payment of the
purchase price, but the minutes of said meeting do not expressly
authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute and deliver said deeds;
and,
WHEREAS, Charles H. Williamson has paid the purchase price for
said land, and the Mayor and City Clerk have executed and delivered
to him a warranty deed conveying said property, pursuant to the
authorization of. the City Council on June 24, 1980; and, the City
Council of West Memphis, Arkansas, desires to expressly authorize the
Mayor and City Clerk to execute and deliver such deed and to ratify
and approve their actions in so doing.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of West Memphis, Arkansas, that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and hereby
are, authorized to execute and deliver to Charles H. Williamson a
warranty deed conveying the City's interest in the West 125 feet of
Lot 2g of the M. P. Horsley Subdivision to the City of West DZemphis,
Arkansas, upon payment by C. H. Williamson of the purchase price there-
for, and the actions of the Mayor and City Clerk in so delivering said
warranty deed are hereby in all things ratified and approved.
