WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Crittenden County,
and the entire State of Arkansas have been saddened by the
death of Trooper Glen Bailey; and,
WHEREAS, Trooper Glen Bailey's record of law enforcement?
friendliness, and standing in the community was admired by all;
and,
WHEREAS, Sergeant Glen Bailey died in the line of duty
demonstrating the highest tradition of his profession, and
by placing law enforcement before self; and,
WHEREAS, the West Memphis City Council desires to show
Mrs. Shan Bailey and her Family its appreciation for the
services Sergeant Bailey rendered to the City of West P~Iemphis,
Crittenden County, and State of Arkansas, during his lifetime
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That the City Council is deeply sorry for the
untimely death of Sergeant Glen Bailey and wishes to extend
its sincere sympathy to Mrs. Shan Bailey and her children in
their bereavement;
2. That Trooper Glen Bailey will long be remembered as
a citizen of West Memphis, Crittenden Countya Arkansas, and
as a law enforcement officer who demonstrated the highest
qualities of his profession during his career;
3. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to:
