RESOLUTION N0.
WHEREAS, there has been in the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, an increase of fires in several apartment
complexes; and,
WHEREAS, it has been necessary to request assistance
from a neighboring city, the City of Mario r., Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Marion, Arkansas, has responded
magnificently to the request of the City of West Memphis
.for assistance; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis
is most grateful for the assistance rendered by the Fire
Department of the City of Marion, Arkansas;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS:
1. That the City Council wishes to express appreciation
to the City of Marion, Arkansas, Mayor E. W. Bigger, Jr., and
Loyd Shivers, Chief of Marion, Arkansas, Fire Department; and,
the Members of the Marion Fire Department for the assistance
rendered recently in helping us with the fires at the
apartment complexes on Avalon Street in West Memphis, Arkansas.
2. That copies of this Resolution be sent to
Mayor E. W. Bigger, Jr.,
Loyd Shivers, Chief, Marion Fire Department, and
Members of the Marion Fire~~yyDepartment.
