RESOLUTION N0. s~ v ~'
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of West Memphis
sell bonds to private companies to finance public projects
essential to our City's growth; and,
WHEREAS, the present rate of interest has caused many
of the bonds needed for the City's growth to become hard to
sell; and,
WHEREAS, there is a bill now pending in the Arkansas
General Assembly to allow the prices and interest of the
bonds to be sold, and to have the rates set by the Bond
Issuers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That the City Council of the City of West Memphis
requests that the members of the Crittenden County Legislative
Delegation give their support on this bill now pending to
'' allow bond sale prices and interest rates to be set by
the Bond Issuers; and,
THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That a copy of this Resolution be sent to each member
of the Crittenden County Legislative Delegation:
Honorable W. K. "Bill" Ingram, Senator,
Honorable Lloyd C. McCuiston, Representative and
Speaker of the House,
Honorable William Hundhausen, Representative,
Honorable Jim Stockley, Representative.
