0839RESOLUTION NO
WHEREAS, certain individuals of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, were nominated by Mayor Ferguson to help reconstruct
the Utility Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the ideas and thoughts of the members of this
Task Force and Citizens For Better Government were consolidated
with those of the Members of the City Council in making a
proposed draft of their recommendations; and,
WHEREAS, all the ideas and recommendations were incorporated
into an Ordinance that was passed by the City Council on tie
21st day of May, 1981; and,
WHEREAS, it is believed that Ordinance No. 1069 will be
a new step in keeping all citizens informed of the operation
of the West Memphis Utility Department;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That the City Council wishes to commend the following
Citizens who served on the Task Force Group and Citizens For
Better Government whose ideas and thoughts culminated in
Ordinance No. 1069:
Mr. James Bledsoe
Mr. James A. Heath
Mr. John Goe
Mr. Ralph Hill
Mr. Frank Steudlein
2. That a copy of this Resolution be serf to the above
named Citizens of West Memphis, Arkansas.
