0842.+ rtESOLUTION NO. WHEREAS, a Settlement Agreement between AP&L and the City of West b4emphis, Arkansas, pertaining to rates to be charged to the consumers of electricity vas entered into between both parties; and, WHEREAS, a Settlement Agreement which bears Docket N0. ER 80 -3'73 is now pending before the FERC in Washington, D.C.; and, WHEREAS, a hearing will be held on June 10, 1981. before the FERC in Washington, D. C., ar~d it is contemplated that the Settlement Agreement will be approved by the FERC at that time; and, WHEREAS, the elected official:; of the City of West Memphis have approved the Settlement AgreerriE:nt which has been previously entered into by their Counsel in Washington, D.C.; and, WHEREAS, the Citizens For Better Government have discovered some facts which were not previously known or clearly understood when the Settlement Agreement was approved; and, WHEREAS, there is a meeting scheduled on June 15, 1981 between the Citizens For Better Government and all interested parties, including elected officials of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, which is believed will develop facts not known when the Settlement Agreement was approved; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 13Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS: 1. That the FERC postpone the fin al hearing on the Settlement Agreement on ER 80-~73 until. July 1, 1981., which ~~.c~.w~n c~ .,_,, ~ ' ~ ~~ ~~ 1 1.
