RESOLUTION N0. --~~'/
WHEREAS, Michael Jiles of the West Memphis Fire Department
has undertaken a tremendous task in single-handedly opening
the Terrell-Looney Swimming Pool; and,
WHEREAS, Michael Jiles has a sincere interest in the youth
of our City and wishes to do whatever may be possible to improve
the recreational facilities under which swimming is a part;
and ,
WHEREAS, Michael Jiles has incurred tremendous financial
liability on his part by signing a Lease and the execution
of a liability policy on the pool;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That the City Council wishes to commend Michael Jiles
for the gigantic task which he has accomplished in the opening
of the Terrell-Looney Swimming Pool;
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
2. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to
Chief Thomas Burkhart, West Memphis Fire Department and to
Michael Jiles, Individually.
