I
WHEREAS, the financial condition of the City of
West Memphis is such that we are unable to fund the
School Crossing Guards for the children attending the
public schools in the City of West A4emphis; and,
WHEREAS, the West Memphis School District did agree
to fund the School Crossing Guards for a limited time; and,
WHEREAS, the establishment of the School Crossing
Guards on the streets of the City of West Memphis is something
which should be given the highest priority; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of West Memphis to fund this project in the near future;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS:
That the City Council of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, sincerely appreciates the cooperation of the
West Memphis School Board in funding the School Crossing
Guards for a limited period.
