A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, ADOPTING THE AFFIRMATIVE
ACTION PLAN FOR EMPLOYMENT - 1982, AND APPROVING
ITS IMPLEMENTATION.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, has a continued commit-
ment to affirmatively increase equal employment opportunity within and thorugh-
out municipal government; and
WHEREAS, regulations promulgated by the U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development require the city to demonstrate compliance with Section 3
of the Housing Act of 1968, Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development
Act of 1974, as amended, and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, all of
which are addressed in the Affirmative Action Plan for Employment - 1981.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. The Affirmative Action Plan for Employment - 1982 be adopted
as an integral part of the city's employment practices;
2. The Affirmative Action Plan for Employment - 1982 be adopted
for implementation by all city departments, divisions, and
agencies;
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
