RESOLUTION N0. ~ ~ ~''
WHEREAS, The West Memphis Housing Authority recognized that
many of the low-rent housing units were in desperate
need of repair and nine of the units had to be closed;
and,
WHEREAS, The West Memphis Housing Authority filed an application
with the U. S. Department of Housing and Development,
asking for a grant to repair the low-rent housing units;
and,
WHEREAS, The West Memphis Housing Authority has received a grant
from the U. S. Department of Housing and Development, in
the amount of $1,434,30.00 for repair of the housing
units.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL:
That the West Memphis Housing Authority be commended
for their efforts in securing this grant from the U. S.
Department of Housing and Development; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Chairman
of the West Memphis Housing Authority:
