A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THE INTENTION OF THE WEST MEMPHIS
CITY COUNCI7~ TO PROVIDE 25% MATCHING FUNDS WHEN EPA FUNDS
ARE AVAILABLE FOR A SECONDARY SEWAGE TREATMENT FACILITY
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Utility Commission, an
Agency of the City of West Memphis is under orders to construct
a Secondary Sewage Treatment Facility to meet Environmental
Protective Agency requirements as of June 1, 1983; and,
WHEREAS, the EPA has stated that they will provide
75% in matching funds for construction; and,
WHEREAS, it will be necessary for the tiVest Memphis
Utility Commission to provide the other 25%; and,
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Utility Commission at their
regular meeting on December 10, 1981, requested that the
City Council pass a Resolution stating their intent to provide
the additional 25% matching funds;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That the West Memphis City Council by the passage of
this Resolution declares their intent to approve 25% matching
funds for the Secondary Sewage Treatment Facility when the
EPA funds are available.
